2nd birthday party, surveying the playground and future ahead
October 24th, 2015
Ashley is fast...super fast! She runs in the house with quick little pitter patter, tap, tap, taps. She keeps up with her big brother and loves a good game of "chase me around the car". She also climbs, a lot. Loves to climb up chairs, tables, carseats, anything to get up and over or taller. If she has her way while sitting with us, she likes to climb over us, over our shoulders, head, to the back of a chair.
Ashley enjoys having her papa hold her by her legs and hold her up high to touch the ceiling. She is strong.
Every day there is a discovery and she takes joy daily with laughter of playing, giggles with peek-a-boo games, hiding under blankets and calling us to find her, listening to music and working on finding a beat to move to or clap her hands. Recently discovered the dance move of rolling her arms in front or one arm out as she spins in a circle.
Ashley has the energy to keep up with her big brother, loves to play games, chase, watch him and wants to do what he is doing, and loves to give him a hug or cuddle in a rare quiet moment. She loves her big brother "Tee-tee".
Outdoors she likes to dig, look around, push a truck around to fill, or go on a mad-dash walk with her doll stroller. Swinging is one of her all-time favorites at a playground, often times starting and ending the playtime. She is courageous and loves slides too, not timid, but will go head first and us coaching her when that is safe and when it is not.
Ashley is a water-baby. Loves to swim, and often times if swimming is on the docket, she is the first to speak up, "me!me!me!" and one of the few times she will get in her carseat by herself, hat on head, and patiently wait to leave for the pool. She swims underwater with goggles, jumps off the edge of the pool, and goes down the slide with a smile on her face.
Ashley is a joy, smiles and laughter abundant, and all the classic two year old stages of opinions, hurt feelings, potty training, independence and learning to ask for help when needed. We love this little spark of ours!
